Fate Under Fire is an alternative rock band that formed in the summer of 2008 by singer/songwriter David James. Music had always been a huge part of David’s life, but after a significant loss, he turned to music as a release and began to pursue his life long dream.
Fate Under Fire had spent the first few months writing new material and playing shows around their home town of Sacramento. They released their first 4 song EP ‘The Simple Things” in the spring of 2009, which they self produced and recorded at James’ home studio. They signed with Right Brain Management just prior to the release of their CD and with the help of Right Brain, they embarked on their first west coast tour.
Upon returning home, they were offered a spot to compete in the Sacramento State University Battle of the Bands. One requirement was to play at least one cover song. Being fans of hip-hop and dance music in general, the guys decided to cover a song by Soulja Boy Tell Em called Kiss Me Thru the Phone. The song has been pretty popular and has started a buzz around Fate Under Fire.
During this time James met fellow musician, John Gillis. James and Gillis instantly clicked, and have been the heartbeat of the band ever since. Since this partnership the band has grown their presence online and in person. More recently, after finding a breath of fresh air in their music journey, they released a music video for their latest song, On The Water.
More recently the band has taken a stand against cancer, sickness, and other injustice. Fate Under Fire doesn’t want to be about merely playing music. The band wants to be actively involved in non-profits, like People Against Cancer, Juice for the Cure, Compassion Int’l, Lifewater Int’l, and others. FUF is specifically passionate about alternative medicine. Illness is at an all time high in the United States, and a lot of that is due to the our culture. FUF wants to actively help people, not just on an emotional level, but on a physical level too. Please contact us for more info on fighting sickness with common sense, and other great causes.
In June Fate Under Fire released their second record, What Dreams Are Made Of. Already the single On The Water has been put into rotation on 4 national networks, (FUSE, GMC, MTVu, and CBS) and was even chosen to be the theme song for a new CBS show called “All In” The record was produced by Eric Robinson, who recently produced Taylor Swift’s record, “Red”. More recently Fate Under Fire has begun working with a new manager from Upline Entertainment, with previous work at Warner Brothers/Chappell Records and Atlantic Records. Listen to more songs here.

Josh is a Sacramento native, artist, singer songwriter who passionately creates and preforms music birthed out of Faith, Life and Love. Shaped by rock and gospel roots Josh Falcón creates a personality and carisma as an artist through his music and message. Playing drums in church as a teenager and growing up in a family heavily influenced by music gave Josh the exposure as a young boy. Josh then found his way and heart to the guitar as a senior in High School. “I will always remember my childhood, watching my Dad play bass with his brothers, a typical weekend I would spend just siting on bench to the side watching them hash out music arrangements, I was so awestruck as a kid to see them create and have so much fun. I began to notice I had a voice inside me towards the tail end of High School, and once I picked up the guitar, I found myself writing songs from the get go and haven’t stopped.”
Although Josh began his journey in the church, he soon found bandmates of Method Echo which began immediate mainstream attention on the West Coast and abroad, having the chance to share the stage with artist’s such as Life House, Chris Daughtry, Abandon Kansas, Grits and more. “I can honestly say I wouldn’t of learned and progressed to who I am today as an artist and person if it wasn’t for the experiences and the guys in Method. Being in a band taught me so many things, so many highlights and so much rejection, I’ve soon learned this business and culture is very cut throat, but if you follow your dreams with hard work and a plan things will happen.”
Josh’s newest single Top of The World is out with an amazing music video. Josh is personally thrilled to come out October 5th and support this amazing event to speak a voice in the fight against human and child sex trafficking. For the past 10 years along with music Josh has worked with young people in the greater areas of Sacramento and has seen many abused teenagers and those who have battled the streets day in and day out. Check out his website for more information.

Val brings his very first offering to the world with his self titled EP. This album has been a labor of love that has come about with much hard work and sacrifice. Each song is filled with living word and testimony that speaks of his personal experience and that of those closest to him. He has collaborated with some incredible artists such as Inna Chiley, Elika R. Bernard and lead singer of BCB, Brad Clark. There are two versions of songs written by Lecrae (Take Me As I Am and Boasting) that have been a source of inspiration for Val over the years and helped bring him through some tough times. Val’s direct and honest perspective on the Christian experience is made evident with each song. When listening to this album, one comes into the knowledge that even though we may be going through the deepest and darkest road, God is always there and He never fails!
In early 2010 Val had a nine day stay in the hospital. The doctors diagnosed him with Multiple Sclerosis and was in danger of losing his vision. This news came just days before he was to board a plane with YWAM to serve in the Ukraine for six months. It was through this tense time that Val began to seek God’s face more fervently than ever before. Val began putting his thoughts and prayers down on paper. The songs birthed out of that period are now on this EP.
Val’s prayer is that when listening to these songs people are touched by the Holy Spirit and come to the knowledge that with God all things are truly possible. That in the midst of pain and trying times, God is always there. Check out his EP on iTunes.

Matthew Balling aka Chosen is passionate about purity and God’s standard for sexuality, marriage and the family. His newest album, Die More Life More, is about taking self off the thrown and killing off what is killing us, and that is sin. For those who have placed their trust in the Son of God, who loved and gave himself, they will live forever spiritually with God. Living for self, pride, sexual immorality, appeasing the flesh, homosexuality, love of the world, lust of flesh and eyes, pride of life, idols, racism, lying, pornography and sins of omission, all lead to death, and are all talked about and encouraged to crucify on this album. When Jesus calls us, he calls us to die, yet the focus of following Christ is not on dying but on living!
Chosen is passionate about diversity and working together as one voice in our culture. Love Has no Color is a music video from one of his newest songs. View more of Chosen’s music on iTunes.
